Shanzhen-based Chinese startup Smacircle has developed S1, a collapsible e-bike with carbon fiber frame and a weight of only 7kg. A special feature is that there is no foot pedal, that means it moves only electrically. The range is approx. 15-20km for average use and a maximum speed of 20km/h.

 

Developed to provide city dwellers with an ideal solution for “first mile – last mile” transportation, this e-bike also folds down flat. In 5 steps, the Smacircle S1 folds into a compact shape of only 10cm x 29cm x 49 cm. Additionally, this bike connects to an app to keep the user updated. The user can view the remaining battery, adjust the speed, toggle preferences, and even lock and unlock the bike.
