 China’s Jinggong Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement with graphene manufacturer Hangzhou Dexi Technology Group Co., Ltd. (Dexi Technology) to promote the research and development of graphene-based carbon fibre equipment research and development.

At the signing ceremony, Sun Guojun, chairman of Jinggong Technology, introduced the company’s development layout of carbon fibre full series equipment manufacturing from raw silk to composite materials. He then declared that he is looking forward to leveraging the company’s integrated advantages in equipment and technology throughout the carbon fibre industry chain, in order to realise the industrialisation and application of graphene-based carbon fibre composite materials.

Professor Gao Chao, chairman of Dexi Technology, praised Jinggong Technology for its continuous focus on intelligent equipment manufacturing and innovative development, and said he is also looking forward to this strategic cooperation. He stated that graphene is a cutting-edge new material in national strategy, with excellent high-efficiency heat dissipation, weight reduction and vibration reduction effects. “We hope that both parties can fully leverage their resources, form strong alliances, collaborate on innovation and joint research, and jointly promote the high-quality development of scientific and technological innovation and industrial applications,” he said.

Graphene-based carbon fibre is a new type of composite material that combines the characteristics of graphene and carbon fibre. This type of carbon fibre is prepared using graphene oxide liquid crystal as a precursor. While inheriting the high strength and lightweight characteristics of carbon fibre, it also has better thermal conductivity due to the addition of graphene. It can be used to manufacture more efficient thermal management materials or electronic device heat dissipation solutions. It may also provide lighter, stronger, and more functional material solutions fields, including the automotive industry, sports & leisure and aerospace.
