Following Toray Industries of Japan's carbon fiber price increase, the domino effect across the industry is gradually emerging.
On December 15, Jilin Chemical Fiber, China’s largest carbon fiber manufacturer by production capacity, announced that it will raise the prices of its wet-spun 12K and 3K carbon fibers starting from January 1, 2026.
Thanks to their favorable substitutability compared with Japanese counterparts, high cost-performance ratio and excellent performance stability, Jilin Chemical Fiber’s wet-spun 12K and 3K carbon fibers will see price increases of 5,000 yuan per ton and 10,000 yuan per ton respectively.
