Greenboats is calling all developers of bio-based or recycled reinforcement fibres and core materials to send the company a sample and a datasheet. The company has created a library for scalable, sustainable composite materials named Circular Structures and is seeking to expand it. The library aims at enabling companies to have one place where they can find all the biobased, circular materials they need to build sustainable composites applications.

To this end, they are looking for reinforcement fibres (bio-based or recycled, woven or non-woven) and core materials made from recycled or renewable content.

once they have received the sample of reinforcement or core material, they will test it and, if they think it shows real potential, they will list it and bring it into real-world projects.

Circular Structures describes itself as offering a “dual approach to sustainability” by using “plant-based and recycled materials to significantly reduce the environmental footprint” of their lightweight, durable components. Beyond material selection, they also do product lifecycle management. Their strategy to be circular includes repairing, reusing, repurposing and recycling.

The material suppliers whose materials will be selected will benefit from visibility on the Circular Structures platform as well as from exposure to applications in marine, mobility, architecture and other sectors.
