Star Composites Corp. announces that it is now operating from its new location in Spartanburg, South Carolina at 200 National Ave. Since its relocation in May 2024 and improvements made to its 150,000-square-foot facility (expanded space, enhancements and improved accessibility), Star Composites says it is more capable of serving PVC, honeycomb core materials, ACT MAT laminate bulking mats and other needs. 

New in 2025, the company has begun manufacturing carbon fiber multiaxial fabrics. Three separate businesses have been relocated and are operating at this same physical address under the Star Composites brand. These businesses include Sky Advanced Materials, Marex and Carbon Core.

Sky Advanced Materials specializes in producing high-quality carbon fiber fabric engineered for performance across various industries — including marine, wind, construction, automotive and industrial — working closely to supply markets in non-aerospace applications. To achieve, this Sky prioritizes cost-competitive, 50K tow carbon fibers, leveraging its processing technology to ensure optimal production. Sky also runs a multiaxial carbon fiber fabrics business in Hungary. The company places strong emphasis on establishing a close relationship with customers, fostering mutual trust and collaboration.

Founded in 2016, Marex Composites is part of a global organization that distributes and finishes structural core materials. It cuts and finishes core materials including PVC and balsa to specification, and customizes standard finishes by scrim, score, infusion grooved, perforated and plain. 

Carbon Core offers a complete core materials portfolio, including structural honeycomb, laminated honeycomb and laminated composite panels, core bonding compounds and ACT MAT PE polyester laminate bulking core mats. Its products can serve marine, transportation, industrial, architecture, swimming pools and tub and shower applications. Carbon Core has recently upgraded its production line equipment for 2025. It is now focusing on selling polyester-based nonwoven mats and is devoted to R&D for new products.
