The project construction site is Shunyi District, Beijing, China, and the construction period is 36 months. The project is planned to last 18 years, including a construction period of 3 years and an operation period of 15 years. Construction of the facility is expected to begin later this year, with the plant projected to reach full production capacity by 2028.
According to AVIC, the project will reinforce the company’s leadership in China’s aviation composites market and better serve the needs of large aircraft component manufacturers. The company also sees the expansion as a significant step towards becoming a world-class supplier of civil aircraft parts.
