Polar Technology (Eynsham, U.K.), an engineering and manufacturing business providing composite and metallic technology solutions, has received a Gold Tier award from BAE Systems’ (London, U.K.) Partner 2 Win program.

Polar Technology was selected from a pool of suppliers that delivered optimal performance and contributions to support supply chain success for BAE Systems’ electronic systems sector in 2024. The award specifically recognizes the high standard of quality and delivery achieved in the company’s supply of structural composite elements for the Striker II helmet-mounted display (HMD).

BAE Systems’ Partner 2 Win program is designed to achieve operational excellence and eliminate inefficiencies in its supply chain by raising the bar of performance expectations to meet the demands of current and future customers. As part of the program, BAE Systems meets regularly with its suppliers to transfer best practices and ensure the components and materials that compose its products meet the highest quality standards.

The Gold Tier is awarded to the suppliers who achieve 100% quality and delivery ratings over a 12-month rolling period.

Polar Technology says that the helmet is just one element of its varied and growing portfolio for the defense industry. “This collaboration represents a flagship program for our team and we’re proud to be continuing to support BAE Systems for the duration of the project,” says Polar Technology’s managing director Paul Janes.
